| 11 | 11 | | Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring therein: |

| 12 | 12 | | That at the next general election to be held in the 1 |

| 13 | 13 | | state of Missouri, on Tuesday next following the first Monday 2 |

| 14 | 14 | | in November, 2026, or at a special election to be called by 3 |

| 15 | 15 | | the governor for that purpose, there is hereby submit ted to 4 |

| 16 | 16 | | the qualified voters of this state, for adoption or 5 |

| 17 | 17 | | rejection, the following amendment to article IV of the 6 |

| 18 | 18 | | Constitution of the state of Missouri:7 |

| 20 | 20 | | amended by adding thereto one new s ection, to be known as 2 |

| 22 | 22 | | Section 35(a). 1. Any agricultural material or 1 |

| 23 | 23 | | substance used on soil or for the purpose to kill, repel, or 2 |

| 24 | 24 | | control pests including, but not limited to, pesticides, 3 |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | herbicides, fungicides , insecticides, or fertilizers; 4 |

| 26 | 26 | | pesticide, herbicide, fungicide, insecticide, or fertilizer 5 |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | ingredients; and pesticide, herbicide, fungicide, 6 |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | insecticide, or fertilizer products originating in the 7 |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | People's Republic of China shall be prohibited for use in 8 |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | the state of Missouri. 9 |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | 2. If the United States Department of Health and Human 10 |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | Services determines that a pesticide, herbicide, fungicide, 11 SJR 59 2 |

| 33 | 33 | | insecticide, or a fertilizer is known to cause cancer, the 12 |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | pesticide, herbicide, fungicide, insecticide, or a 13 |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | fertilizer shall have an inconspicuous label placed on the 14 |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | front of the packaging. The label shall have a bold, 16 to 15 |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 18 point font, and the label shall read: "may cause cancer". 16 |
