11 MISSISSIPPI LEGISLATURE 2025 Regular Session To: Local and Private Legislation By: Representative Paden House Bill 1935 AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF COAHOMA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO UTILIZE A PORTION OF ITS ARPA FUNDING TO MAKE A CONTRIBUTION TO CLARKSDALE-COAHOMA COUNTY MINISTRIES, INC., D/B/A CARE STATION; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Coahoma County, Mississippi, in its discretion, is authorized to utilize a portion of its American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to make a contribution, during fiscal year 2025, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) to Clarksdale-Coahoma County Ministries, Inc., d/b/a Care Station, a 501(c)(3) organization, which provides needed meals, food and support to the citizens of the county. SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
