11 MISSISSIPPI LEGISLATURE 2025 Regular Session To: Judiciary B By: Representative Summers House Bill 1974 AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO TRACEY RUSHING OF HINDS COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: SECTION 1. The right of suffrage is hereby fully and completely restored to Tracey Rushing of Hinds County, Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of his conviction for the crime of robbery in Hinds County, on August 8, 1984, for which he was sentenced to serve five (5) years, with two (2) years suspended and three (3) years probation under the supervision of the Mississippi Department of Corrections. On February 10, 1993, he was convicted of compounding crime and burglary-residential, and sentenced to serve three (3) years on both counts in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections. He was sentenced February 21, 1996, in Hinds County for the crime of compounding crime. He was discharged on December 19, 1996. He was released to probation on March 10, 1999, because of time served. The Legislature is informed that he has since conducted himself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner. SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

1515 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

1717 SECTION 1.
