11 MISSISSIPPI LEGISLATURE 2025 Regular Session To: Universities and Colleges By: Representative Waldo House Bill 910 AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 37-73-5, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO REVISE WHERE CERTAIN DUAL ENROLLMENT CLASSES MAY BE TAKEN; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: SECTION 1. Section 37-73-5, Mississippi Code of 1972, is amended as follows: 37-73-5. The Mississippi Department of Education shall work in conjunction with the Mississippi Community College Board to ensure alignment of career technical education courses across the public school system and community college system. If a community college chooses not to participate in the dual credit program or does not have certain courses available for participating students, eligible high school students may enroll in dual credit courses and attend such courses * * * at the campus of with another participating community college within the state. SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
