1-MISSISSIPPI LEGISLATURE 2025 Regular Session To: Rules By: Representative Creekmore IV House Resolution 108 (As Adopted by House) A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE 2024-2025 INGOMAR ATTENDANCE CENTER LADY FALCONS VOLLEYBALL TEAM FOR WINNING THE MISSISSIPPI HIGH SCHOOL ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATION (MHSAA) CLASS 2A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. WHEREAS, the 2024-2025 Ingomar Attendance Center Lady Falcons Volleyball Team reigned supreme at the Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) Class 2A State Championship, a truly impressive feat; and WHEREAS, winning all three sets of the match with scores of 25-19, 25-13, and 25-8, the Lady Falcons dominated the championship game from the moment of the first serve through the end of the final set, resulting in a clean sweep over their opponent, the Lake Hornets; and WHEREAS, with amazing spikes, serves, and saves, the team showcased their talent, endurance, and teamwork as they clinched their third consecutive state title, building upon their past successes in their meteoric rise to the pinnacle of volleyball excellence; and WHEREAS, the Lady Falcons amassed an overall season record of 41-2, finishing their superior season with an outstanding 16 consecutive victories and serving at least nine aces in six consecutive games; and WHEREAS, the success of the volleyball program at Ingomar Attendance Center is due to the incredible support and resources made available from the parents, coaches, and especially the administration; and WHEREAS, the key to this dynamic team's success has been the amazing team spirit and hours of diligent practice put in by athletes: Issie Riddle, Abby Miller, Miley Roberts, Daylen Grisham, Cadie Jo Byrd, Marissa Bell, Briley Stout, Bella Phifer, Carys Ball, Macie Phifer, Rivers Ashley, Ella Hart Wilbanks, Tyrani Jones, Baylee Glasson, Peyton Wray, and Makynlee Dillard, with the support of the team's managers, Rachel Weeden, Maggie Nance, Ella Weeden, Eden Wilbanks, Jack Wilbanks, and Lexi McLarty; and WHEREAS, the Lady Falcons have been superbly coached and inspired by Head Coach Andy Wilbanks, Assistant Coach Laura Hogue, and Strength and Conditioning/Trainer Jeremy Dorrough, who have broadened the team's knowledge of the game and refined their skills in execution, producing high caliber players and plays and leading the Lady Falcons to yet another state championship victory; and WHEREAS, the members of this team will surely carry the unforgettable memories they have made, as well as the lessons of hard work, dedication, and perseverance they have learned, throughout their lives as they remember the feeling of greatness that accompanies being a champion; and WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to recognize and commend excellence, especially that displayed by the Ingomar Attendance Center Lady Falcons Volleyball Team, and it is with great pride that we congratulate this elite group of student-athletes, who have brought honor and pride to their school, Union County, and the entire State of Mississippi: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate the 2024-2025 Ingomar Attendance Center Lady Falcons Volleyball Team for winning the Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) Class 2A State Championship, and extend best wishes to the team for continued success in all their future endeavors.
