| 1 | | - | MISSISSIPPI LEGISLATURE 2025 Regular Session To: Rules By: Representatives Mangold, Pigott House Resolution 14 (As Adopted by House) A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING MISS HARLEY GRACE VINZANT UPON BEING CROWNED MISS DIXIE NATIONAL 2025 AND RECOGNIZING HER DEDICATION TO THE SPORT OF RODEO AND COMMUNITY SERVICE. WHEREAS, on January 11, 2025, Harley Grace Vinzant, a native of Vicksburg, Mississippi, was crowned Miss Dixie National 2025 during the prestigious Miss Dixie National pageant held in the Trade Mart Center on the Mississippi State Fairgrounds; and WHEREAS, Harley Grace excelled in the competition, winning the horsemanship, appearance, and photogenic categories, demonstrating her exceptional talent, grace, and poise; and WHEREAS, for the duration of her one-year reign, she will represent the Dixie National Livestock Show and Rodeo at various events across the state, promoting the sport of rodeo and the values of the western way of life; and WHEREAS, currently a freshman at East Mississippi Community College, Harley Grace has been awarded both ACT and Academic scholarships, and she is pursuing a degree in political science with a minor in interior design, aspiring to become a lawyer; and WHEREAS, beyond her academic achievements, Harley Grace is passionate about community service, actively volunteering with Operation Christmas Child, the Angel Tree food drives and clothing donation efforts to support those in need; and WHEREAS, an accomplished equestrian, Harley Grace is a dedicated barrel racer competing in the National Barrel Horse Association and various jackpots throughout the state, and she previously held the titles of Junior Miss Dixie National 2022 and Dixie National Flag Girl in 2023 and 2024; and WHEREAS, she currently owns and cares for five horses: Bailey, Buddy, Chip, Louis, and T'beaux, and spends much of her free time training and providing riding lessons at Silver Creek Equestrian Center; and WHEREAS, when she is not promoting the sport of rodeo, Harley Grace enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, golfing, going to the movies, and playing with her beloved chocolate lab, Fendi; and WHEREAS, throughout her reign as Miss Dixie National 2025, Harley Grace is eager to encourage and mentor the next generation of rodeo queens while proudly representing the Dixie National Livestock Show and Rodeo; and WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to recognize and honor outstanding individuals such as Miss Harley Grace Vinzant, who exemplifies dedication, leadership, and passion for the rodeo community and beyond: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we commend and congratulate Miss Harley Grace Vinzant upon being crowned Miss Dixie National 2025 and extend our best wishes for her continued success in her reign and all her future endeavors. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Miss Harley Grace Vinzant, the Dixie National Livestock Show and Rodeo and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps. |
