1-MISSISSIPPI LEGISLATURE 2025 Regular Session To: Rules By: Representatives Mangold, Pigott House Resolution 16 (As Adopted by House) A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING MISS CALLIE MUELLER UPON BEING CROWNED MISS RODEO AMERICA 2025 AND RECOGNIZING HER OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE EQUINE AND EDUCATIONAL COMMUNITIES. WHEREAS, on Sunday, December 8, 2024, Callie Mueller, who represented the Mount Rushmore State as Miss Rodeo South Dakota 2024, was crowned Miss Rodeo America 2025 at the South Point Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada; and WHEREAS, a proud native of Florence, South Dakota, Callie became the sixth woman from her state to win the prestigious Miss Rodeo America title, an achievement that reflects her dedication to the sport of rodeo and her passion for preserving the western way of life; and WHEREAS, Callie is an accomplished horsewoman and a rising leader in the equine industry, spending her days training and riding horses while also inspiring others through her published writings; and WHEREAS, in addition to her success in the rodeo arena, Callie is an advocate for education, holding two bachelor of education degrees and currently pursuing a master's degree in educational leadership, with a steadfast commitment to making a lasting impact in both the equine and educational communities; and WHEREAS, as a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, Callie aspires to win an AQHA World Championship and tirelessly dedicates herself to mentoring and training the next generation of equestrians; and WHEREAS, beyond her many achievements, Callie was honored with the Appearance Award at the Miss Rodeo America Pageant, in addition to receiving over $20,000 in educational scholarships and prizes, including a wardrobe of Wrangler apparel, Montana Silversmiths jewelry and Justin Boots; and WHEREAS, the national pageant featured twenty-nine contestants from across the country competing in a rigorous selection process that included a horsemanship contest, a written test on equine science and rodeo knowledge, extensive interviews, extemporaneous speaking and a fashion show; and WHEREAS, as Miss Rodeo America 2025, Callie will serve as the official representative of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, traveling over 40,000 miles and making nearly 100 appearances at rodeo performances, schools, civic groups and special events to educate the public about rodeo and its many opportunities; and WHEREAS, in fulfilling her responsibilities as Miss Rodeo America, Callie will also serve as a spokesperson at promotional events and model for western industry sponsors, further solidifying her influence as a role model and ambassador of rodeo; and WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to recognize and honor outstanding individuals such as Miss Callie Mueller, a young woman who exemplifies poise, determination, and a dedication to the western way of life, making her an exceptional role model for young girls across the nation: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we commend and congratulate Miss Callie Mueller upon being crowned Miss Rodeo America 2025 and extend our heartfelt wishes for her continued success during her reign and in all her future endeavors. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Miss Callie Mueller, the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
