                            MISSISSIPPI LEGISLATURE 2025 Regular Session To: Veterans and Military Affairs By: Senator(s) Tate Senate Bill 2434 (As Sent to Governor) AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE COUNTIES AND MUNICIPALITIES TO ENTER INTO INTERGOVERNMENTAL SUPPORT AGREEMENTS WITH MILITARY BRANCHES; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.      BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:      SECTION 1.  A local government unit, including municipalities and county boards of supervisors, may enter into intergovernmental support agreements with a branch of the armed forces of the United States under the National Defense Authorization Act, 10 USC 2679, to provide installation-support services to a military installation located in this state.      SECTION 2.  Section 1 of this act shall be codified in Chapter 25, Title 17, Mississippi Code of 1972.      SECTION 3.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
