11 MISSISSIPPI LEGISLATURE 2025 Regular Session To: Public Health and Welfare By: Senator(s) Bryan Senate Bill 2693 AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 27, CHAPTER 437, LAWS OF 2024, TO EXTEND THE DATE OF THE REPEALER ON THE PROVISION REQUIRING THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION, THE DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES AND THE STATE PERSONNEL BOARD TO ASSIST THE STATE BOARD OF COSMETOLOGY AND THE BOARD OF BARBER EXAMINERS IN CARRYING OUT THE CONSOLIDATION REQUIRED BY LAW; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: SECTION 1. Section 27, Chapter 437, Laws of 2024, is amended as follows: Section 27. The Department of Finance and Administration, the Department of Information Technology Services and the State Personnel Board, shall assist the State Board of Cosmetology and the Board of Barber Examiners in carrying out the consolidation required by this act. This section shall become effective from and after its passage, and shall stand repealed on July 1, * * * 2025 2029. SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after June 30, 2025.
