                            MISSISSIPPI LEGISLATURE 2025 Regular Session To: Rules By: Senator(s) Whaley, Chism Senate Resolution 101 (As Adopted by Senate) A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE INGOMAR HIGH SCHOOL LADY FALCONS GIRLS VOLLEYBALL TEAM AND HEAD COACH ANDY WILBANKS FOR THEIR CLASS 2A 2024-2025 CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON.      WHEREAS, the Ingomar High School Lady Falcons Girls Volleyball Team had already proven themselves in the 2024-2025 regular season, and they didn't miss a beat now in the playoffs.  They defeated the Lake Hornets with a sharp 3-0 win on October 19, 2024.  The victory was familiar territory for the Lady Falcons who have won 16 matches in a row; and      WHEREAS, one reason for the win was Ingomar just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last.  The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-13, 25-8; and      WHEREAS, leading Ingomar to victory were Abby Miller and Marissa Bell.  Miller had three aces and 25 assists, while Bell had six aces, two blocks, and a kill.  Miller has been remarkable, having posted 12 or more assists the last 11 times she's played; and      WHEREAS, Ingomar was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces.  That strong performance was nothing new for the team.  They've now served at least nine aces in six consecutive games; and      WHEREAS, Ingomar High School 2024-2025 Lady Falcons Girls Volleyball Team Roster:  Issie Riddle, Abby Miller, Miley Roberts, Daylen Grisham, Cadie Byrd, Marissa Bell, Briley Stout, Bella Phifer, Carys Ball, Macie Phifer, Rivers Ashley, Ella Wilbanks, Makynlee Dillard, Tyrani Jones, Baylee Glasson, Peyton Wray and Natalie Davis; and Head Coach Andy Wilbanks; and      WHEREAS, it is with great pride that we recognize these student athletes who have brought honor to their school, their community and to the State of Mississippi:      NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate the Ingomar High School Lady Falcons Girls Volleyball Team and Head Coach Andy Wilbanks for their Class 2A 2024-2025 Championship season, and extend to the team, coaches, parents and sponsors our best wishes for future success.      BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be presented to Head Coach Andy Wilbanks, forwarded to Ingomar Principal Roben Denton and the Union County Board of Education, and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
