POLK, DISTRICT 44, UPON THE OCCASION OF HIS AWARD OF THE MISSISSIPPI MERITORIOUS CIVILIAN SERVICE MEDAL BY THE MISSISSIPPI NATIONAL GUARD. WHEREAS, on March 7, 2025, the Governor of the State of Mississippi, as authorized by the Mississippi Code of 1972 and attested by Adjutant General Bobby M. Ginn, Jr., awarded the Mississippi Meritorious Civilian Service Medal to Senator John A. Polk, District 44, for Outstanding Achievement in Support of the Mississippi National Guard; and WHEREAS, this is the highest civilian award that can be bestowed by the Mississippi National Guard; and WHEREAS, the citation on the Meritorious Civilian Service Medal Award states as follows: "As Mississippi Senator from District 44 under your leadership, the Mississippi Legislature has provided unprecedented levels of support and opportunity to the soldiers, airmen, families and civilians of the Mississippi National Guard by fostering a partnership and investing in those who serve. Your dedication to duty and professional expertise have contributed to a stronger military. Your professionalism brings great credit to yourself, the Senate of Mississippi, the Mississippi National Guard, and the United States Armed Forces.
