"Our goals were to make game day finals, to hit in game day finals, to make traditional finals, and to hit in traditional finals. We were content with letting the results take care of themselves if we accomplished those goals"; and WHEREAS, in their second year competing in the Game Day competition, the Wildcats held onto a minuscule half-point lead heading into the Game Day finals. "I'm extremely proud of the team and how much work they put into preparing for this weekend," Coach Smith said. "We are at practice throughout the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays; the girls sacrifice a lot and choose to commit themselves to their sport. It was an honor to represent Pearl River at College Nationals, and we are proud to be adding a third title to the cheer program"; and WHEREAS, the 2025 members of the PRCC Cheer Team are: Chloe Atkins, Maddie Cooley, Taylor Davis, Katie Duran, Zoey Feazell, Madison Fraiser, Nailah Gamble, Maddison Graham, Katie Anne Hedgepeth, Jordyn Jones, Morgan Martin, Karson Netto, Kaleigha Nixon, Addie Norris, I'Maya Oatis, Tamyiah Paige, Kaeleigh Pannell, Mattie Prince, Anna Richardson, Kadence Rogers, Bella Sauseda, Hayley Shepard, Camryn Stamps, Sara Scott Stanford, Skye Storozuk, Sammi Vaughan, Alee Waters, Chloe Watkins, Abby Bea Williams, and Jazamine Williams; and Head Coach Sarah Smith; and WHEREAS, it is with great pride that we recognize these college athletes who have brought honor to their team, their college, their community and to the State of Mississippi: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate the Pearl River Community College (PRCC) Lady Wildcats Cheer Team and Head Coach Sarah Smith for winning their third UCA National Championship in four years, and extend to the team, coaches, parents and sponsors our best wishes for continued championships.
