4 A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: “AN ACT REQUIRING MEETINGS AND RECORDS OF EDUCATION
5 MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATIONS AND ASSOCIATIONS TO BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.”

7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:

9 NEW SECTION. Section 1.
10 All meetings and records of an education membership organization or association
11 composed of public or government entities supported in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by public funds
12 must be open to the public to the same extent as the meetings and records of the member public or
13 government entities.

15 NEW SECTION. Section 2. [Section 1] is intended to be codified as an
16 integral part of Title 20, chapter 1, part 2, and the provisions of Title 20, chapter 1, part 2, apply to [section 1].
