17 | 17 | | Whereas, the star was adopted by the Moravian Church as an advent symbol and later 5 |

18 | 18 | | became a popular symbol all around the world; and 6 |

19 | 19 | | Whereas, the Moravian star is usually hung the first Sunday of Advent and remains 7 |

20 | 20 | | up until Epiphany, January 6; and 8 |

21 | 21 | | Whereas, it is fitting to recognize the positive impact the Moravians have had on 9 |

22 | 22 | | North Carolina's culture by adopting the Moravian star as the official State star; Now, therefore, 10 |

23 | 23 | | The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 11 |

24 | 24 | | SECTION 1. Chapter 145 of the General Statutes is amended by adding the 12 |
