| 17 | 17 | | SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Office of State 5 |

| 18 | 18 | | Budget and Management the nonrecurring sum of five million dollars ($5,000,000) for the 6 |

| 19 | 19 | | 2025-2026 fiscal year to provide a directed grant to Crossnore Communities for Children, a 7 |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | nonprofit organization, to provide services that are designed to address the foster care crisis in 8 |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | this State, including the Promise for Hope Campaign, the Center for Trauma Resilient 9 |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Communities, the Bridging Families program, youth independent living, foster care, family 10 |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | reunification and preservation services, and community engagement. All services supported 11 |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | through these funds shall be open to children from across North Carolina and shall be offered in 12 |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | and delivered from Winston-Salem, Crossnore, and Hendersonville through Crossnore 13 |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Communities for Children. 14 |

| 27 | 27 | | SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2025. 15 |
