1514 AN ACT TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR VARIOUS PROJECTS IN THE CITY OF 2
1615 FAYETTEVILLE. 3
1716 The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 4
1817 SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Office of State 5
1918 Budget and Management the sum of five million dollars ($5,000,000) in nonrecurring funds for 6
2019 the 2025-2026 fiscal year to provide a directed grant to the City of Fayetteville to establish an 7
2120 Innovation District, which will be established in a geographic location within the City to foster 8
2221 economic growth and collaboration by bringing together various entities such as educational 9
2322 institutions, businesses, universities, and start-ups in a concentrated area. The City of Fayetteville 10
2423 will collaborate with Fayetteville State University and other local entities to establish the joint 11
2524 venture to stimulate economic activities for the area residents and institutions in Cumberland 12
2625 County, which is a tier one county. 13
2726 SECTION 2. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Office of State 14
2827 Budget and Management the sum of two million five hundred thousand dollars ($2,500,000) in 15
2928 nonrecurring funds for the 2025-2026 fiscal year to provide a directed grant to the City of 16
3029 Fayetteville to consolidate the City's and Cumberland County's 911 Emergency Dispatch Center 17
3130 to support the region's effort to ensure public safety, emergency services, and medical care. 18
3231 SECTION 3. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Office of State 19
3332 Budget and Management the sum of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) in nonrecurring 20
3433 funds for the 2025-2026 fiscal year to provide a directed grant to the Hollywood Heights 21
3534 Community Club's Community Center, a nonprofit organization, for facility repairs and 22
3635 maintenance. 23
3736 SECTION 4. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Office of State 24
3837 Budget and Management the sum of four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) in recurring funds 25
3938 for each year of the 2025-2027 fiscal biennium to provide a directed grant to the City of 26
4039 Fayetteville to provide equal funding to support the following fire stations: 27
4140 (1) Fayetteville Lake Rim Fire Station. 28
4241 (2) Fayetteville Fire Station 3. 29
4342 (3) Fayetteville Fire Station 15. 30
4443 (4) Fayetteville Fire Station 14. 31
4544 SECTION 5. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Office of State 32
