810 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF NORTH DAKOTA:
9-SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION. The funds provided in this section, or so much of the funds as may
10-be necessary, are appropriated out of any moneys in the general fund in the state treasury, not
11-otherwise appropriated, and from other funds derived from special funds and federal funds, to the state
12-auditor for the purpose of defraying the expenses of the state auditor, for the biennium beginning July 1,
13-2025, and ending June 30, 2027, as follows:
11+SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION. The funds provided in this section, or so much of the funds
12+as may be necessary, are appropriated out of any moneys in the general fund in the state
13+treasury, not otherwise appropriated, and from other funds derived from special funds and

24-SECTION 2. ONE-TIME FUNDING - EFFECT ON BASE BUDGET - REPORT TO SEVENTIETH
25-LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY. The following amounts reflect the one-time funding items included in the
26-appropriation in section 1 of this Act which are not included in the entity's base budget for the 2027-29
27-biennium and which the entity shall report to the appropriations committees of the seventieth legislative
28-assembly regarding the use of this funding:

34-SECTION 3. NEW AND VACANT FTE POOL - LIMITATION - TRANSFER REQUEST. The state
35-auditor may not spend funds appropriated in the new and vacant FTE pool line item in section 1 of this
36-Act, but may request the office of management and budget to transfer funds from the new and vacant
37-FTE pool line item to the salaries and wages line item in accordance with the guidelines and reporting
38-provisions included in House Bill No. 1015, as approved by the sixty-ninth legislative assembly.
39-SECTION 4. AMENDMENT. Section 54-10-10 of the North Dakota Century Code is amended and
40-reenacted as follows:
63+SECTION 3. NEW AND VACANT FTE POOL - LIMITATION - TRANSFER REQUEST. The
64+state auditor may not spend funds appropriated in the new and vacant FTE pool line item in
65+section 1 of this Act, but may request the office of management and budget to transfer funds
66+from the new and vacant FTE pool line item to the salaries and wages line item in accordance
67+with the guidelines and reporting provisions included in House Bill No. 1015, as approved by the
68+sixty-ninth legislative assembly.
69+SECTION 4. AMENDMENT. Section 54-10-10 of the North Dakota Century Code is
70+amended and reenacted as follows:
4171 54-10-10. Salary of state auditor.
4272 The annual salary of the state auditor is one hundred thirty thousandone hundred thirty - nine
43-thousand two hundred fifty - six dollars through June 30, 20242026, and one hundred thirty-five thousand
