11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 24-01-12.4 of the North Dakota Century Code is created and enacted | |
12 | 12 | as follows: | |
13 | 13 | 24-01-12.4. Sponsorship agreements for highway right of way services. | |
14 | 14 | The director may enter a sponsorship agreement with any person to provide highway | |
15 | 15 | related services within highway right of way. The director may acknowledge a sponsor that | |
16 | 16 | provides litter control, rest area maintenance, or other services in the highway right of way | |
17 | 17 | under this section with an acknowledgement sign within the highway right of way. For purposes | |
18 | 18 | of this section, "acknowledgement sign" means a sign intended only to inform the public that a | |
19 | 19 | highway-related service has been sponsored by a person. Acknowledgement signs facing the | |
20 | 20 | same direction may not be placed less than one mile [1.61 kilometers] apart. An | |
21 | 21 | acknowledgement sign must meet all the requirements of the adopted manual on uniform traffic | |
22 | 22 | control devices. | |
