HOUSE BILL NO. 1075

AN ACT to create and enact a new subdivision to subsection 2 of section 12-60-24 and a new section to
chapter 37-17.1 of the North Dakota Century Code, relating to criminal history record checks by
the department of emergency services.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF NORTH DAKOTA:
SECTION 1. A new subdivision to subsection 2 of section 12-60-24 of the North Dakota Century
Code is created and enacted as follows:
The department of emergency services for a final employment applicant under chapter
37 - 17.1.
SECTION 2. A new section to chapter 37-17.1 of the North Dakota Century Code is created and
enacted as follows:
Criminal history record checks.
The department of emergency services may require a final applicant for employment to submit to
statewide and nationwide criminal history record checks. The nationwide criminal history record check
must be conducted in the manner provided by section 12 - 60 - 24. H. B. NO. 1075 - PAGE 2
