13+A BILL for an Act to amend and reenact section 12.1-11-03 of the North Dakota Century Code,

915 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF NORTH DAKOTA:
10-SECTION 1. AMENDMENT. Section 12.1-11-03 of the North Dakota Century Code is amended and
11-reenacted as follows:
12-12.1-11-03. False information or report to law enforcement officers or security officials.

1421 1.An individual is guilty of a class A misdemeanor if that personindividual:
1522 1.a.Gives false information or a false report to a law enforcement officer which that
16-personindividual knows to be false, and the information or report may interfere with an
17-investigation or may materially mislead a law enforcement officer; or
18-2.b.Falsely reports to a law enforcement officer or other security official the occurrence of a
19-crime of violence or other incident calling for an emergency response when that
20-personindividual knows that the incident did not occur. "Security official" means a public
21-servant responsible for averting or dealing withhandling emergencies involving public
22-safety.

24-vexatiously provided a false report regarding another individual to a law enforcement officer or
25-security official shall report the information to the state's attorney of the county in which the
