| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION - DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC INSTRUCTION - SCIENCE | |
| 12 | 12 | MUSEUM GRANT - ONE-TIME FUNDING. There is appropriated out of any moneys in the | |
| 13 | 13 | general fund in the state treasury, not otherwise appropriated, the sum of $24,000,000, or so | |
| 14 | 14 | much of the sum as may be necessary, to the department of public instruction for the purpose of | |
| 15 | 15 | providing a passthrough grant for a science museum construction project, for the biennium | |
| 16 | 16 | beginning July 1, 2025, and ending June 30, 2027. The department of public instruction may | |
| 17 | 17 | award the grant only upon certification from the prospective grant recipient that the prospective | |
| 18 | 18 | grant recipient has raised at least $24,000,000 of matching funds from nonstate sources for the | |
| 19 | 19 | project. This appropriation is considered a one-time funding item. | |
