A concurrent resolution to repeal section 10 of article X of the Constitution of North Dakota,
relating to the statewide property tax levy of one mill for support of the state medical center at
the University of North Dakota; and to provide an effective date.
STATEMENT OF INTENT
This measure would eliminate the constitutional statewide property tax levy of one mill for
support of the state medical center at the University of North Dakota.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF NORTH DAKOTA, THE HOUSE OF
REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING THEREIN:
That the following proposed repeal of section 10 of article X of the Constitution of North
Dakota is agreed to and must be submitted to the qualified electors of North Dakota at the
general election to be held in 2026, in accordance with section 16 of article IV of the
Constitution of North Dakota.
SECTION 1. REPEAL. Section 10 of article X of the Constitution of North Dakota is
repealed.
SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. If approved by the electors, this measure is effective for
taxable years beginning after December 31, 2026.
