Explanation of Estimate:
This bill changes the provisions relating to legislative approval of an indication of intent to incorporate land into
the State Park system. The commission may only provide an indication of intent enter into long- term leases,
lease- purchase agreements, or other agreements with local governmental subdivisions once that intent is
approved by the Legislature.
If the Legislature in not in session, it would now be possible to present the intention to the Executive Board of
the Legislative Council with the estimated fiscal impact of the incorporation.
There would be no additional fiscal impact to the Agency if this change was implemented.
