The following constitutes the reasons for this bill and the purposes which are sought to be
accomplished thereby:
LB 529 will allow the Nebraska Investment Council (Council) to negotiate favorable market
terms in investment contracts while still entering into the best private market funds that are
oversubscribed. In addition, it will give the Council the flexibility to negotiate and lock-in
favorable terms with investment managers by not having an arbitrary end date.€
