Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened: 1 New Section; New Hampshire Clean Lakes Program; Intentional Disposal of Yard Waste. Amend RSA 487 by inserting after section 25 the following new section: 487:25-a Intentional Disposal of Yard Waste. Intentional disposal of yard waste directly into surface waters, such as streams, rivers, lakes, or ponds shall constitute a violation punishable by a fine of $150 for a first offense, $300 for a second offense, and $750 for any subsequent offense. The authority to enforce this section shall extend to all peace officers in the state of New Hampshire. 2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 2026.
