Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened: 1 New Section; Cervid Meat; Chronic Wasting Disease. Amend RSA 207 by inserting after section 15-a the following new section: 207:15-b Cervid Meat; Chronic Wasting Disease. I. Each cervid season, the department shall compile and maintain on its website a list of states where chronic wasting disease has been reported in the cervid population. II. Any person who takes a cervid from a state on the list compiled in paragraph I and has the cervid processed out of state shall have the meat tested for chronic wasting disease prior to bringing the meat into New Hampshire. III. Violation of paragraph II shall be a violation punishable by a fine of $250 for the first offense, and a class B misdemeanor punishable by a fine of $1,000 for a subsequent offense. 2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect January 1, 2026.
