     Requires menopause information to be distributed under certain circumstances.

 An Act concerning menopause and supplementing Title 26 of the Revised Statutes.        Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:        1.    a. Commencing 180 days following the effective date of this act, a licensed health care professional who performs an annual physical examination on a female patient who is 40 years of age or older shall provide the female patient an informational pamphlet on perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause, as prepared and published by the Department of Health pursuant to subsection b. of this section, during the visit.        b. Within 90 days following the effective date of this act, the Department of Health shall prepare and publish on its Internet website an informational pamphlet on perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause, in order to effectuate the purposes of this act.         2.  This act shall take effect immediately.     STATEMENT        This bill requires menopause information to be distributed under certain circumstances.      Under the bill, commencing 180 days following the bill's effective date, a licensed health care professional who performs an annual physical examination on a female patient who is 40 years of age or older is to provide the female patient an informational pamphlet on perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause, as prepared and published by the Department of Health pursuant to the bill, during the visit.        The bill provides that, within 90 days following the bill's effective date, the Department of Health is to prepare and publish on its Internet website an informational pamphlet on perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause.
