4949 MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOR THE NEW

5454 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
5555 SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five million dollars
5656 ($5,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
5757 department of health for expenditure in fiscal years 2026 and
5858 2027 for the New Mexico health service corps to support the
5959 recruitment and retention of health care providers who treat
6060 rural or underserved populations or patients of federally
6161 qualified health centers; provided that no more than two
6262 hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) may be expended for
