5050 MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE HIGHER EDUCATION DEPARTMENT TO

5555 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
5656 SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two million dollars
5757 ($2,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
5858 higher education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2026
5959 to provide stipends to undergraduate and graduate behavioral
6060 health students that are completing training, supervision or
6161 experiential requirements necessary to obtain professional
6262 licensure. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at
6363 the end of fiscal year 2026 shall revert to the general fund.
