3252 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
3353 SECTION 1. Section 29-7C-2 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 2003,
3454 Chapter 320, Section 4, as amended) is amended to read:
3555 "29-7C-2. DEFINITIONS.--As used in the Public Safety
3656 Telecommunicator Training Act:
3757 A. "board" means the law enforcement certification
3858 board;
39-B. "certified" means meeting the training
40-standards established by statute and rule as determined by
41-the board;
59+B. "certified" means meeting the training standards
60+established by statute and rule as determined by the board;
4261 C. "council" means the New Mexico law enforcement
4362 standards and training council;
44-D. "director" means the director of the New Mexico
45-law enforcement academy;
46-E. "dispatch" means the relay of information to
47-public safety personnel by all forms of communication;
48-F. "high-quality telecommunicator cardiopulmonary
49-resuscitation" means the instructions that a telecommunicator
50-provides to a bystander of a cardiac emergency on how to

91-"29-7C-4.1. PUBLIC SAFETY TELECOMMUNICATOR
92-TRAINING.--The curriculum of each basic telecommunicator
93-training class and in-service training each year for
94-telecommunicators shall include:
95-A. crisis management and intervention;
96-B. dealing with individuals who are experiencing
97-mental health issues;
98-C. methods of de-escalation;
99-D. peer-to-peer intervention;
100-E. stress management;
101-F. racial sensitivity;

107+(2) makes decisions affecting the life, health
