4949 RELATING TO CHILDREN; CREATING A TRAUMA-INFORMED PRACTICE USING
5050 AUTOBIOGRAPHIES TO TEACH CHILDREN TO RETELL THEIR STORIES TO

5252 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
5353 SECTION 1. A new section of the Children, Youth and
5454 Families Department Act is enacted to read:
5555 "[NEW MATERIAL] AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL STORYTELLING AS A TRAUMA-
5656 INFORMED STRATEGY.--The department shall:
5757 A. contract with speech-language pathologists to
5858 provide training and workshops to families and case workers and
5959 to develop language support and emotional development services
6060 to support language development and coherent storytelling
6161 skills with children in foster care using family experiences in
6262 mathematics, science or history exploration as the context and
