3051 AUTHORITY TO DEVELOP ANNUAL FEDERAL SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION
3152 ASSISTANCE PROGRAM STATE OUTREACH PLANS.
3253 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
33-SECTION 1. A new section of the Public Assistance Act
34-is enacted to read:
35-"FEDERAL SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
36-OUTREACH PLANS.--

56+"[NEW MATERIAL] FEDERAL SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE
57+PROGRAM OUTREACH PLANS.--
3758 A. The authority shall develop annual federal
38-supplemental nutrition assistance program state outreach
39-plans to promote access to the benefits of the federal
40-supplemental nutrition assistance program. Each year, the
41-authority shall submit the annual state outreach plan to the
42-food and nutrition service of the United States department of
43-agriculture on or before the deadline specified by the food
44-and nutrition service. Upon approval of an annual state
45-outreach plan, the authority shall maximize federal funding
46-for the plan by submitting a request to the food and
47-nutrition service for all available matching funding that the
48-federal government offers for state outreach plans. The
49-authority may seek matching federal funds, gifts, grants and
50-donations to develop and implement an annual state outreach
