2938 RECOGNIZING VICTIMS OF VIOLENT CRIME AND THEIR FAMILIES AND
3039 HONORING THEIR LOSSES.
31-WHEREAS, lives lost to senseless acts of violence
32-deserve to be honored and remembered; and
33-WHEREAS, each life lost represents a story, a family and
34-a dream left unfulfilled; and
40+WHEREAS, lives lost to senseless acts of violence deserve
41+to be honored and remembered; and
42+WHEREAS, each life lost represents a story, a family and a
43+dream left unfulfilled; and
3544 WHEREAS, victims of violent crime would like to educate
3645 the public and policymakers about the impact of murder and
3746 other violent crime on families and communities; and
3847 WHEREAS, the diverse contributions of the survivors'
3948 movement should be recognized; and
40-WHEREAS, New Mexico stands in solidarity with the
41-families and loved ones who carry the weight of unimaginable
42-loss and whose strength in the face of grief is a testament
43-to the enduring power of love and remembrance;
44-NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF
45-REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO that victims of
46-violent crime be recognized, honored and remembered by
47-ensuring that their lives will never be forgotten and their
48-legacies will inspire change and by fostering communities of
49-peace, support and justice; and
50-BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this memorial be
