2848 AN ACT
2949 RELATING TO GAMING; REQUIRING THAT GAMING MACHINES MEET THE
3050 STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS OF STATE LAWS AND RULES.
3151 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
3252 SECTION 1. Section 60-2E-44 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1997,
3353 Chapter 190, Section 46, as amended) is amended to read:
3454 "60-2E-44. MACHINE SPECIFICATIONS.--To be eligible for
3555 licensure, each gaming machine shall meet all specifications
36-established by rules of the board and:
56+established by [regulations ] rules of the board and:
3757 A. be unable to be manipulated in a manner that
38-affects the random probability of winning plays or in any
39-other manner determined by the board to be undesirable;
58+affects the random probability of winning plays or in any other
59+manner determined by the board to be undesirable;
4060 B. have at least one mechanism that accepts coins
4161 or currency;
4262 C. be capable of having play suspended through the
43-central system by the executive director until the executive
44-director resets the gaming machine;
45-D. have electronic meters within a readily
46-accessible locked area of the gaming machine that maintain a
47-record of all money inserted into the machine, all cash
48-payouts of winnings, all refunds of winnings, all credits
49-played for additional games and all credits won by players;
50-E. be capable of printing out, at the request of
