49	49	MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO RECOGNIZE THE FOUR HUNDREDTH
50	50	ANNIVERSARY OF WINEMAKING IN AMERICA.
51	51	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
52	52	SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three million dollars
53	53	($3,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board
54	54	of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in
55	55	fiscal years 2026 through 2028 for the New Mexico department of
56	56	agriculture to develop projects, programs, promotions and
57	57	educational and civic events to recognize the history, current
58	58	value and future economic potential of the winegrowing industry
59	59	in New Mexico in conjunction with the four hundredth
60	60	anniversary of winemaking in America, acknowledge the
61	61	contributions made by indigenous and immigrant communities and
62	62	emphasize the importance of conserving land and water
