AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PLAN, DEVELOP AND CREATE A RIO HONDO
WATERSHED DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars
($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board
of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure by
the New Mexico department of agriculture in fiscal year 2026 to
plan, develop and create a Rio Hondo watershed district. Any
unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
fiscal year 2026 shall revert to the general fund.
