49	49	MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE
50	50	UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO FOR THE SITE PREPARATION,
51	51	CONSTRUCTION, EQUIPPING, FURNISHING AND LANDSCAPING OF AN
52	52	OBSERVATORY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO-TAOS.
53	53	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
54	54	SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million five hundred
55	55	thousand dollars ($1,500,000) is appropriated from the general
56	56	fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico
57	57	for expenditure in fiscal years 2026 through 2029 for the site
58	58	preparation, construction, equipping, furnishing and
59	59	landscaping of an observatory, the Cielo Centro observatory, at
60	60	the university of New Mexico-Taos. Any unexpended or
61	61	unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2029
62	62	shall revert to the general fund.
