| 52 | 52 | SECTION 1. A new section of Chapter 2, Article 3 NMSA | |

| 54 | 54 | "[NEW MATERIAL] ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATIONS.-- | |
| 55 | 55 | A. The director of the legislative council service | |
| 56 | 56 | shall ensure that no later than December 31, 2026, at least | |
| 57 | 57 | forty-three percent of the vehicle parking spaces in the | |
| 58 | 58 | parking facility located beneath the building in which the | |
| 59 | 59 | legislature is housed are equipped with an electric vehicle | |
| 60 | 60 | charging station. | |
| 61 | 61 | B. For the purposes of this section: | |
