4949 MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE PUBLIC EDUCATION DEPARTMENT TO

5252 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
5353 SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand
5454 dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the government results
5555 and opportunity program fund to the public education department
5656 for expenditure in fiscal year 2026 to contract with a national
5757 organization that publishes official guidelines for
5858 cardiopulmonary resuscitation and emergency cardiovascular care
5959 to train educational personnel in rural school districts to use
6060 defibrillators in a cardiac emergency. Any unexpended or
6161 unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2026
6262 shall revert to the government results and opportunity program
