7	7	SENATE RESOLUTION—Expressing appreciation to the staff of
8	8	the Senate for their service during the 82nd Session of the
9	9	Nevada Legislature.
10	10	WHEREAS, Each legislative session the Senate elects an officer
11	11	to serve as the Parliamentarian and Chief Administrative Officer of
12	12	the Senate; and
13	13	WHEREAS, The Senate of the 82nd Session of the Nevada
14	14	Legislature elected Brendan Bucy to serve as Secretary of the
15	15	Senate for the first time; and
16	16	WHEREAS, The Secretary of the Senate is responsible for
17	17	employing all of the staff of the Senate, including the Sergeants at
18	18	Arms, Front Desk Clerks, Administrative Services Staff, Leadership
19	19	Officers, Legislative Assistants, Committee Managers, Committee
20	20	Secretaries and Proofreaders; and
21	21	WHEREAS, Many of the dedicated members of the staff of the
22	22	Senate return to work each legislative session, some of whom have
23	23	retired from other governmental service, bringing a vast amount of
24	24	knowledge and experience, while others bring talent and expertise
25	25	from a myriad of diverse backgrounds; and
26	26	WHEREAS, Throughout the legislative session, the Secretary and
27	27	staff of the Senate meticulously maintained a thorough and accurate
28	28	record of all of the proceedings of the Senate and its Committees
29	29	and diligently ensured that all of the needs of the members of the
30	30	Senate were met; and
31	31	WHEREAS, The talented staff who worked for the Senate during
32	32	the 82nd Session of the Nevada Legislature carried out their
33	33	responsibilities with ingenuity, enthusiasm and resourcefulness; and
34	34	WHEREAS, The exemplary service of the staff of the Senate,
35	35	their professional attitudes, selfless commitment to excellence and
36	36	admirable efficiency enabled the Senate to complete a daunting
37	37	quantity of work within the rigorous scheduling deadlines of the
38	38	120-day legislative session; now, therefore, be it
39	39	RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, That the
40	40	members of the Senate do hereby express their sincere appreciation
41	41	to the Secretary of the Senate and all of the outstanding members of
42	42	the staff of the Senate and commend their dedication, cooperation,
43	43	excellent work and willingness to serve the State; and be it further
44	44	RESOLVED, That the Secretary of the Senate prepare and
45	45	transmit a copy of this resolution to each member of the staff of the
46	46	Senate; and be it further
