AN ACT relating to vehicles; providing that vehicles owned by a 
charter school of the State are exempt from fees for 
registration; and providing other matters properly relating 
thereto. 
Legislative Counsel’s Digest: 
 Existing law exempts vehicles owned by the United States, the State of Nevada, 1 
any political subdivision of the State or any county, municipal corporation, city, 2 
unincorporated town or school district in the State from fees for registration. (NRS 3 
482.503) This bill clarifies that vehicles owned by a charter school of the State are 4 
exempt from fees for registration. 5 
 
 
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN 
SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 
 
 Section 1.  NRS 482.503 is hereby amended to read as follows: 1 
 482.503 The registration fee imposed by this chapter does not 2 
apply to vehicles owned by [the] : 3 
 1. The United States [, the] ; 4 
 2. The State of Nevada, [any] including, without limitation, a 5 
charter school; 6 
 3. Any political subdivision of the State of Nevada ; [,] or [any]  7 
 4. Any county, municipal corporation, city, unincorporated 8 
town or school district in the State of Nevada. 9
