AN ACT relating to health care; appropriating money to establish a 
Pediatric Stem Cell and Bone Marrow Transplant 
Program in this State; requiring certain reports to the 
Interim Finance Committee; requiring the authorization of 
certain audits; and providing other matters properly 
relating thereto. 
Legislative Counsel’s Digest: 
 This bill appropriates money to the Alliance for Childhood Diseases, doing 1 
business as the Cure 4 The Kids Foundation, to establish a Pediatric Stem Cell and 2 
Bone Marrow Transplant Program in this State. Section 1 of this bill appropriates 3 
money to the Cure 4 The Kids Foundation for: (1) the infrastructure and equipment 4 
necessary to operate the program; and (2) the costs of applying for and obtaining 5 
accreditation from the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy. 6 
Section 2 of this bill appropriates money to the Cure 4 The Kids Foundation for the 7 
costs of operating the program during its first 2 years of existence, including 8 
staffing and administration costs. Section 3 of this bill requires the Cure 4 The Kids 9 
Foundation to: (1) submit reports to the Interim Finance Committee concerning 10 
expenditure of the money appropriated by sections 1 and 2; and (2) allow the 11 
Legislative Auditor to audit the books and records of the Cure 4 The Kids 12 
Foundation. 13

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN 
SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 
 
 Section 1.  1. There is hereby appropriated from the State 1 
General Fund to the Alliance for Childhood Diseases, doing 2 
business as the Cure 4 The Kids Foundation: 3 
 (a) The sum of $7,000,000 to: 4 
  (1) Build and upgrade infrastructure and acquire equipment 5 
and supplies as necessary to establish and operate a Pediatric Stem 6 
Cell and Bone Marrow Transplant Program in this State; and 7 
  (2) Apply to the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular 8 
Therapy for the accreditation of the Pediatric Stem Cell and Bone 9 
Marrow Transplant Program in this State. 10 
 (b) The sum of $2,500,000 for all costs related to conducting the 11 
first five bone marrow transplant operations, including, without 12 
limitation, costs incurred in conducting pre-transplant evaluations, 13 
searching for donors, hospitalization, supplying and administering 14 
medications and providing follow-up care, for the purpose of 15 
obtaining the accreditation described in subparagraph (2) of 16 
paragraph (a). 17 
 2. Any remaining balance of an appropriation made by 18 
subsection 1 must not be committed for expenditure after June 30, 19 
2027, by the entity to which the appropriation is made or any entity 20 
to which money from the appropriation is granted or otherwise 21 
transferred in any manner, and any portion of the appropriated 22 
money remaining must not be spent for any purpose after  23 
September 17, 2027, by either the entity to which the money was 24 
appropriated or the entity to which the money was subsequently 25 
granted or transferred, and must be reverted to the State General 26 
Fund on or before September 17, 2027. 27 
 Sec. 2.  1. There is hereby appropriated from the State 28 
General Fund to the Alliance for Childhood Diseases, doing 29 
business as the Cure 4 The Kids Foundation, for the costs of 30 
operating a Pediatric Stem Cell and Bone Marrow Transplant 31 
Program in this State, including, without limitation, the costs of 32 
recruiting, salaries, benefits and training for providers of health care, 33 
providers of support services and other staff and the payment of 34 
administrative costs, the following sums: 35 
For the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 ............................... $3,500,000 36 
For the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 ............................... $3,000,000 37 
 2. Any balance of the sums appropriated by subsection 1 38 
remaining at the end of the respective fiscal years must not be 39 
committed for expenditure after June 30 of the respective fiscal 40 
years by the entity to which the appropriation is made or any entity 41 
to which money from the appropriation is granted or otherwise 42

transferred in any manner, and any portion of the appropriated 1 
money remaining must not be spent for any purpose after  2 
September 18, 2026, and September 17, 2027, respectively, by 3 
either the entity to which the money was appropriated or the entity 4 
to which the money was subsequently granted or transferred,  5 
and must be reverted to the State General Fund on or before 6 
September 18, 2026, and September 17, 2027, respectively. 7 
 Sec. 3.  Upon acceptance of the money appropriated by 8 
sections 1 and 2 of this act, the Alliance for Childhood Diseases, 9 
doing business as the Cure 4 The Kids Foundation, agrees to: 10 
 1.  Prepare and transmit a report to the Interim Finance 11 
Committee on or before December 18, 2026, that describes each 12 
expenditure made from the money appropriated by sections 1 and 2 13 
of this act from the date on which the money was received by the 14 
Alliance for Childhood Diseases through December 1, 2026; 15 
 2. Prepare and transmit a final report to the Interim Finance 16 
Committee on or before September 17, 2027, that describes each 17 
expenditure made from the money appropriated by sections 1 and 2 18 
of this act from the date on which the money was received by the 19 
Alliance for Childhood Diseases through June 30, 2027; and 20 
 3. Upon request of the Legislative Commission, make available 21 
to the Legislative Auditor any of the books, accounts, claims, 22 
reports, vouchers or other records of information, confidential or 23 
otherwise, of the Alliance for Childhood Diseases, regardless of 24 
their form or location, that the Legislative Auditor deems necessary 25 
to conduct an audit of the use of the money appropriated pursuant to 26 
sections 1 and 2 of this act. 27 
 Sec. 4.  This act becomes effective on July 1, 2025. 28
