Designates a portion of the state highway system as the "Port Authority Police Officer Pavlos D. Pallas Memorial Bridge" located in the neighborhood of East Elmhurst, Queens County.
Requires a person issued a driver's license or permit to report the instance of a medically diagnosed seizure to the commissioner of motor vehicles within sixty days of such seizure.
Requires certain contractor, subcontractor and worker certifications for metropolitan transportation authority contracts which involve industrial painting or industrial coating work.
Requires the department of transportation to determine which entrances to parkways in the state are most frequently accessed by oversized commercial vehicles and to install certain barriers to prevent such vehicles from accessing such entrances.
Establishes Davina's driver accountability law which requires the commissioner of motor vehicles to establish a uniform curriculum for accident prevention courses for use by all sponsoring agencies, delivery agencies and instructors in this state; provides for the repeal of certain provisions upon the expiration thereof.
Requires the commissioner to promulgate rules and regulations requiring entities proposing construction of a new building development within one mile of a transit facility to submit environmental impact statements; defines transit facility.
Provides that no suspension of a registration shall occur for a violation regarding cashless tolls absent clear evidence of an owner's intent to repeatedly evade paying such tolls.
Provides for the reimbursement of the ticket price of unused one-way, round trip or multi-trip tickets purchased for use on the Long Island Rail Road or the Metro-North Commuter Railroad Company if returned within one year.
Relates to ordering a study and report on improvements of State Route 9A in the Hudson River Greenway portion of State Route 9A; provides for the repeal of such provisions upon expiration thereof.
