Requires containerized waste systems for certain residential buildings with more than one hundred fifty units; defines "containerized waste system" as a waste management system that utilizes sealed containers with dimensions of up to eight feet in width, five feet in height and twenty feet in length.
Authorizes the city of Yonkers to establish a separate fund into which revenue earmarked for the safe city streets, safe streets, safe schools program will be deposited.
Authorizes the commissioner of the New York city department of finance to create an air rights database recording transfers of such unused development rights.
Requires the New York city water board to wait at least thirty days after adoption of the city budget before setting its annual fees, rates, rents or other charges for the use of the sewage system or water system, or both.
Relates to establishing commercial rent regulation; establishes a right to renew leases and authorizes the rent guidelines board to establish maximum rents.
Prohibits city agencies in a city having a population of one million or more from contracting with a limited liability company unless such limited liability company discloses the names and addresses of persons having limited liability for the contractual obligations and other liabilities of the company.
Establishes the citywide leadership team to ensure that parents' and students' voices are represented in all education decision-making, ensure education policies considered or implemented are conducive to promoting student achievement and enhancing the overall quality of education for students attending public schools in the city of New York, and include all stakeholders at all stages of the decision-making process.
Requires school crossing guards to be on each and every corner of every city block that contains a public or private high school during arrival and dismissal.
