Authorizes physicians and pharmacists to enter into collaborative practice medication adherence protocols for their patients; makes permanent certain provisions relating to authorizing pharmacists to perform with physicians in certain settings.
Includes active duty military and certain veterans going to college under the new GI bill in the definition of resident as it relates to community colleges and state-aided four-year colleges.
Relates to the obligation of a pharmacy to properly dispense or refill a prescription for a drug or device, or a non-prescription drug or device regardless of the ethical, moral or religious beliefs of any employee of such pharmacy.
Establishes the student loan borrower bill of rights to protect borrowers and ensure that student loan servicers act more as loan counselors than debt collectors.
Establishes the retrain and employ unemployed persons program providing grants to community colleges to develop training programs or improve existing workforce development programs for the purposes of training unemployed individuals for jobs in the regions surrounding such community colleges.
Relates to allowing for students in certain postsecondary education experience or transition programs to receive awards from the tuition assistance program.
Establishes tuition awards for members of the reserved armed forces of the United States; provides eligibility for such tuition benefit shall be determined by the education services offices of the division of military and naval affairs; restricts such tuition benefit to legal residents of the state; establishes a tuition award account.
