Renames the Governor Mario M. Cuomo bridge the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Tappan Zee bridge; directs the commissioner of transportation to provide for the installation and maintenance of adequate signing of the state highway system.
Allows an operator of a motor vehicle to display or provide such operator's certificate of registration to a magistrate, motor vehicle inspector, peace officer, acting pursuant to his or her special duties, or police officer in electronic form.
Establishes in the city of New York a bicycle lane safety program to enforce certain restrictions on the use of protected bicycle lanes by means of bicycle lane photo devices.
Provides exemption from suspension of a driver's license for persons serving fulltime active military duty who fail to pay fines from traffic or parking violations.
Provides that the owner of a hazard vehicle service or of a taxicab, livery, bus, coach, limousine, van or wheelchair accessible van service, who has permitted an employee to operate such a vehicle when such employee has not been issued a valid state driver's license or whose license has been suspended or revoked shall have his business license suspended for thirty days.
Authorizes that the commissioner of transportation is authorized and directed to assume jurisdiction for state highway purposes over the town road described as follows: all of Griffith road from the intersection with state routes 19 and 39 in the town of Pike easterly to its terminus at state route 19A in the town of Genesee Falls.
