Increases the occupancy tax rate authorized in the city of Yonkers from 3 to 5 7/8ths; extends the effectiveness of the occupancy tax imposed in the city of Yonkers to September 1, 2027.
Authorizes the sale of liquor for consumption on certain premises located within two hundred feet of a building occupied exclusively as a school, church, synagogue or other place of worship in the borough of Manhattan, county of New York.
Requires the cannabis control board to provide notice to state legislative representatives upon receipt of application for an adult-use cannabis retail dispensary or on-site consumption license in their district.
Grants the legislature the authority to direct the attorney-general by concurrent resolution to inquire into matters concerning the public peace, public safety and public justice.
Requires the commissioner of general services to ensure clean, safe drinking water is available in easily accessible locations for all public employees in state office buildings.
Authorizes the commissioner of taxation and finance to revoke the certificate of registration of the sale of adult-use cannabis; increases certain penalties relating to the sale of illicit cannabis; authorizes the commissioner of taxation and finance and the duly authorized representatives of the office of cannabis management to provide enforcement; makes it a class A misdemeanor for a distributor of adult-use cannabis products or a retail seller of adult-use cannabis products to sell any such products while not registered to do so.
Modifies licensing restrictions for manufacturers and wholesalers of alcoholic beverages on licensees who sell at retail for on premises consumption, and restrictions on retail licensees interested directly or indirectly in licensed manufacturers or wholesalers of alcoholic beverages.
Requires the Erie county stadium corporation and any working group, subcommittee, advisory committee or subsidiary formed thereunder to comply with the open meetings law; relates specifically to the new stadium working group.
Repeals the metropolitan commuter transportation mobility tax; requires the commissioner of taxation and finance to review and recommend to the governor, the temporary president of the senate, and the speaker of the assembly any other provisions of law which require amendments or repeal thereof.
Prohibits any employer, labor organization, employment agency or licensing agency, or employees or agents thereof, to seek high school, college or graduate program graduation dates from a prospective employee for an interview or as a condition for employment.
Imposes a commercial vacancy tax on vacant or abandoned commercial storefronts located in a city with a population of one million or more of one percent of the assessed value of the property.
