Allows for the denial, suspension or discontinuance of public assistance or care where a person does not participate in three consecutive scheduled interviews with a social services official.
Requires the MTA to submit an annual report on all minor and major contract cost overruns; establishes such report shall include a list of all contracts where overruns exceed one million dollars, all contracting firms involved, the winning bid amounts, the actual costs incurred, a description of the project, completion delays, and an analysis of why the contract bid amount was exceeded.
Establishes the office of hospice and palliative care access and quality to provide expertise and input on hospice and palliative care policy development and regulation.
Requires parity in the mental and physical health treatment of the residents of New York state; provides that both mental and physical health "will be matters of public concern and provision therefor shall be made by the state and by such of its subdivisions".
Allows for principals to be remanded into custody for drug treatment where there is a risk of continued substance abuse or the use of an opioid antagonist was required.
Prohibits the owner of a building from declining to renew a lease to a tenant whose lease term started prior to the owner's purchase of the building on the grounds of occupancy by the owner or an immediate family member.
Establishes a training wage equal to eighty-five percent of the state minimum wage or one hundred percent of the federal minimum wage, whichever is greater, that may be paid to a youth who has no prior job experience; provides that no youth may be paid a training wage for more than one hundred eighty days.
Requires instruction in owning and operating a business including, but not limited to, basic financial literacy necessary for sound financial decision-making, leadership, management, communication, budgeting, savings, credit, debt, insurance, taxation, and other issues associated with owning and operating a business.
