Requires any school district in the state shall provide, to pupils in grades nine through twelve, one full unit of instruction designed to promote consumer awareness and financial education.
Includes nurse practitioners as a provider of services for purposes of collaborative drug therapy management; makes the authorization for pharmacists to perform such management permanent.
Prohibits county correction officers from dispensing medications to incarcerated individuals on the premises of a local correctional facility, but corrections officers or staff may dispense or administer medications used for the emergency treatment of known or suspected opioid overdose.
Ratifies and confirms the creation of water district number 14 of the town of Monroe, made up of the water system previously owned and operated by Orchard Hill Water Company and which has been owned and operated by the town of Monroe by mandate from the public service commission since 2013; authorizes the issuance of bonds or notes by such town to finance certain inter-fund borrowings by such water district.
Allows the city of Syracuse, in the county of Onondaga, to impose a two percent hotel and motel tax upon persons occupying hotel or motel rooms in such city.
Requires courts to consider whether an individual poses a risk or threat of physical danger to the safety of any person or the community when imposing a securing order; makes stalking in the second and third degree a qualifying offense; makes related provisions.
Establishes a housing infrastructure tax credit to provide a credit of up to ten percent of costs for infrastructure projects related to the construction of new homes or multiple dwellings commenced and completed within a specific time period.
Enacts the "homebuyer renovation property tax exemption act" to grant an exemption of up to fifteen thousand dollars from taxation levied by or on behalf of any county, city, town, village or school district in which such residential property is located for a period of five years from the date of purchase of the property; defines "primary residential property".
Enacts the tropical rainforest economic & environmental sustainability act requiring that companies contracting with the state do not contribute to tropical forest degradation or deforestation directly or through their supply chains; establishes the supply chain transparency assistance program to assist small and medium-sized businesses and minority and women-owned businesses in achieving compliant supply chains.
Prohibits the application of pesticides to certain local freshwater wetlands for local governments that have implemented a freshwater wetlands protection law; provides that any local law or ordinance adopted pursuant to this section shall take effect on the first day of January after it shall have been adopted.
Sets the reimbursement for mobile crisis intervention services to be a rate that is not less than the rate that would be paid for such services pursuant to the medical assistance program under title eleven of article five of the social services law.
