Excuses person 70 years of age or older from jury service.
Jury service, individual 75 years of age or older may be permanently excused from service
Provides that no person shall be precluded from being deemed a "prospective relative guardian" based on whether such person's relationship with the child was established before or after such child's placement into foster care.
Relating to jury service; to amend Sections 12-16-62 and 12-16-63, Code of Alabama 1975; to allow individuals 75 years of age or older to be excused from jury service and to request a permanent exemption from jury service.
Creates new excuse from jury service; directs AOC to create and maintain list of persons excused from jury duty due to developmental disability.
Authorizes a requirement of pro bono service as a condition of admission to the bar or attorney registration; exempts pro bono work performed pursuant to an agreement with the federal government if the federal government designates the recipients of the pro bono work or type or types or nature of such legal services; provides for the expiration of such provisions upon the expiration thereof.
